License

California State University, Long Beach participates in the Apple Maintenance Program (AMP). Its purchase is coordinated by the Office of Academic Technology. The program provides upgrades to the Macintosh OS X operating system over a three-year period ending September 14, 2010.

This program supports 480 licenses for university-owned Macintoshes. The AMP licenses are pre-allocated based upon departmental participation. AMP licenses are renewable in 2010 if funding permits; if not, AMP iincludes perpetual usage rights to the current commercially available version of the Mac OS X for the then current authorized user number.
