Viewing Grades from Previous Semesters
Course grades from a previous semester can only be found in MyCSULB.
While BeachBoard does contain a Gradebook that many instructors use to assess student performance, that Gradebook is only visible to the students during the semester that course is taught. Courses are removed from BeachBoard two weeks after the end of a semester. See Viewing Grades from This Semester. Instructors post official, final grades – the grades that become part of your permanent academic transcript – not on BeachBoard but rather on MyCSULB.

More Information
Q: What is the difference between BeachBoard's Gradebook and the grades at MyCSULB?
A: While BeachBoard does contain a Gradebook that many instructors use to assess student performance, that Gradebook is not the official record of the University. Instructors post official final grades on MyCSULB.
Q: Why can’t I view previous semester grades on BeachBoard?
A: BeachBoard courses and the courses' Gradebooks are only visible to students during the semester that course is taught. Courses and their gradebooks are removed from BeachBoard two weeks after the end of a semester.
Q: My final grade in a previous semester's course is incorrect, and I can no longer see that course's Gradebook in BeachBoard. Can BeachBoard Services turn my old course's Gradebook back on?
