Getting Started with BeachBoard for CSULB Students and Organization Participants

BeachBoard is CSULB’s e-learning environment. Students/Participants may find their course syllabus, lecture materials, assignments, discussions and possibly grades if the instructor has posted them.
BeachBoard Basics
- Login to BeachBoard https://beachboard.csulb.edu/ with your MyCSULB campus ID and password.
- Under My Courses, click the course you want to access.
- Click the links on the left side of the page to access the course documents and tools.
Missing a Course?
- BeachBoard Services automatically creates a space for every CSULB course but not all courses are made available by instructors.
- Courses from the current semester are listed under My Courses and are removed two weeks after the semester ends. To view a BeachBoard course from a previous semester, please contact the course instructor.
- If you have recently enrolled in a course through Enrollment Services, please note that it takes a minimum of one business day for this course to appear under My Courses. For example, if you add a course on Tuesday, the course will not appear in BeachBoard until Wednesday.
- Also, if you drop or are administratively dropped from a course, you will disappear from My Courses. Your instructor, BeachBoard Services, or the Technology Help Desk cannot (even temporarily) "re-enable" your access to a dropped course. The only way you can access a dropped course on BeachBoard is to re-enroll in that course through Enrollment Services.
