Course Merge Request

BeachBoard Course Merge Request

A course merge applies if an instructor is teaching multiple course sections. A course merge will combine the rosters of two or more classes (or sections of a class), so that the instructor only needs to post content, communications, etc. in one place. A course merge will not merge course content--only course enrollment.

To request that the roster(s) of one or more sections be merged into a single section, please fill in the form below. Once the courses are merged, ITSS will make the SOURCE COURSE(S) unavailable and an instructor will maintain only the DESTINATION COURSE.

If you do not know how to find the Course ID, please contact the Technology Help Desk for assistance. For your ease, we will summarize one method:

  1. Log into BeachBoard
  2. Enter your course's Control Panel.
  3. Locate and write down the ID associated with the course shell that you want assistance with.
    The ID must be formatted like this: 2064_LBCMP_COUR_123_SEC01

When the Course Merge is complete you will receive an email. Note: Course Merges take 48 hours to process.
