BeachBoard Service Requests

Course Merge Request

A course merge applies if an instructor is teaching multiple course sections. A course merge will combine the rosters of two or more classes (or sections of a class), so that the instructor only needs to post content, communications, etc. in one place. A course merge will not merge course content--only course enrollment.

To request that the roster(s) of one or more sections be merged into a single section, please fill in the form linked below. Once the courses are merged, ITSS will make the SOURCE COURSE(S) unavailable and an instructor will maintain only the DESTINATION COURSE.

Fill out the Course Merge Request form.

Extranet Account Request

Extranet Account Request In order to access BeachBoard without an assigned Campus ID and for university-related business, an Extranet account may be requested. Go to the Extranet Account Policy page to request an account.

Academically-Related Organizations

Academically-Related Organizations Request In addition to directly supporting classroom instruction, CSULB’s BeachBoard learning management system enables its participants to build online connections between campus groups via “Organizations.” In its continued effort to support the CSULB academic community, BeachBoard organizations will only be created for those university bodies that are directly related to university teaching and learning activities. To request an academically-related organization, please read the guidelines first.

Archived Course Request

Beachboard Services maintains past semester courses on the live server for five semesters. This practice enables the instructors to review previously taught course materials and copy the materials to a new course if needed. After the five semesters, the courses are removed from the live server, archived, and stored for an additional year. To request BeachBoard Services to restore an archived course, please fill out the Course Archive Request form.
