Hide Old Courses

The University requires that instructors retain unreturned student materials for at least two subsequent semesters, so old BeachBoard courses remain on BeachBoard for one calendar year.  After a few semesters, instructors' My Courses lists may become quite long.

To "hide" old BeachBoard courses so they no longer show up under My Courses,

  1. Login to BeachBoard at https://beachboard.csulb.edu/
  2. Select the pencil icon ["Modify the My Courses module"] to the right of the words My Courses.
  3. On the Customize the My Courses page, uncheck the Display Course and Display Announcements checkboxes in the second and fourth columns for the courses you no longer want to show up on your My Courses list.
  4. Scroll down and select the Submit button [for each page].
  5. This displays a receipt telling you that the My Courses module has been successfully updated.  Select on the OK button to make that go away.

Doing this only "hides" your old courses.  You can still access your old courses at any time by clicking on the Courses tab at the top of any BeachBoard page.
