Enrolling instructors or TAs in a BeachBoard Course

In addition to being able to enroll CSULB students in your BeachBoard course, you are also able to enroll additional CSULB instructors or teaching assistants. Please be aware that manually enrolling an instructor in your BeachBoard course does not make that instructor the official "instructor of record" for the course and that instructor will not be able to enter your course's final grades in MyCSULB at the end of the semester. To designate an instructor as the official instructor of record for a course, please contact your department's administrative assistant.

Enroll an instructor or TA

  1. Login to BeachBoard. https://beachboard.csulb.edu/
  2. Under My Courses, click the name of the course into which you would like to enroll an additional instructor or TA.
  3. Click the course's Control Panel link.
  4. Under User Management, click the Enroll User link.
  5. Type in the instructor's or TA's nine digit campus ID in the Search box.
  6. Choose Campus ID in Search by:
  7. Click the Search button.
  8. Check the Add checkbox to the left of the name of the instructor or TA you wish to enroll.
  9. Click the Submit button.
  10. Click the OK button.
  11. Click the List/Modify Users link.
  12. Click the Search button.
  13. To the right of the instructor or TA you just enrolled, click the Properties button.
  14. Under role, change the instructor or TA's role to either instructor or Teaching Assistant. [See Course Roles for more information.]
  15. Click the Submit button.
