Mandarin Summer Intensive 2008 Courses:

Students will earn university credits during the summer 2008 six-week session through the following courses:

• CHIN 301 Advanced Chinese (transferable)
  Prerequisites: CHIN 202 or its equivalent, or consent of the instructor.
  Study of modern spoken and written Chinese involving advanced patterns and expressions. Emphasis on reading, comprehension, vocabulary building and idiomatic usage.
• CHIN 311 Advanced Spoken Chinese (transferable)
  Prerequisites: CHIN202 or equivalent or by consent of instructor. Designed to develop students' ability to listen and talk about advanced topics in daily life.
