American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education (AAHHE), Outstanding Dissertation Competition

The competition is open to those who have completed a dissertation within the stated period of time that either focuses on Hispanics in higher education or on select disciplines by a Hispanic student.

American Indian Graduate Center

This organization provides scholarships for “service to American Indian and Alaska Native undergraduate and graduate students.”

Chairish "Design Your Future" Scholarship

Multiple $2,500 scholarship awards with deadlines on January 1st and June 30th every year.  Open to students from all underrepresented backgrounds and all majors. Students are asked to submit a 500 word essay designing their ideal future and their plans to achieve that dream.

The Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans

The purpose of The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans is to provide opportunities for continuing generations of able and accomplished New Americans to achieve leadership in their chosen fields. To apply you must be a naturalized citizen or hold a green card, if born abroad. If born in the US, be the child of two immigrant parents, one or both of whom are naturalized citizens. Have a bachelor’s degree or be on track to earn one by June in the year you wish to start. If in a graduate program, you should be in your 1st or 2nd year in the year for which you're applying. Maximum age: 30 years old.

Tribal Scholarships

Native American students interested in applying for tribal scholarships must complete a financial aid file with the Office of Student Financial Aid, as well as their respective tribal office.

Business

Abbott and Fenner Business Scholarship

This fellowship is available to all students currently attending any accredited post-secondary institution. 

AfterCollege Business Student Scholarship

Eligible candidates must be working toward a degree in a business-related field, such as business administration. Applicant must be a U.S. resident and a registered member of AfterCollege.com.

AICP Scholarship Program

Graduate candidates must have a declared major in a business-related field and have a GPA of 3.0 or better at the time of application.

California Association of Realtors Scholarship Foundation Scholarships

Students must be enrolled in a California college or university for professions centered on a real estate related career such as finance or management.

Elliott C. Roberts Scholarship

This scholarship is open to second year graduate students pursuing a degree in healthcare administration or comparable field (MBA included). Sponsored by the Institute for Diversity in Health Management.

HubShout Internet Marketing Scholarship
 
The scholarship is open to students with at least one year of college. They must also have a minimum of 3.0 GPA to apply. A scholarship award of $1,000 (each) is awarded to the strongest candidate with a demonstrated passion for Internet Marketing.

Lance Surety Scholarship

Open to all undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at an accredited institution in the United States.

Wiley CPAexcel Scholarship

Candidate must be a full- or part-time student enrolled in at least one course in accounting. In addition to a $2,500 scholarship award, the recipient receives a free Wiley CPAexcell Gold CPA review course.

American Council of Learned Societies Fellowships

ACLS offers fellowships and grants in more than a dozen programs for research across the humanities and related social sciences at the doctoral and postdoctoral levels.

The Craft Research Fund

The mission of the Craft Research Fund Graduate Research Grants is to encourage, expand and support graduate research in United States Craft (contemporary and decorative arts).

Jacob K. Javits Fellowships Program

This program provides fellowships to students of superior academic ability—selected on the basis of demonstrated achievement, financial need, and exceptional promise—to undertake study at the doctoral and Master of Fine Arts level in selected fields of arts, humanities, and social sciences.

Phi Beta Kappa Society Fellowships

Phi Beta Kappa fosters continuing education through two foreign study fellowships. The Mary Isabel Sibley Fellowship is awarded annually to young women who wish to study Greek or French language and literature. The Walter J. Jensen Fellowship is awarded annually for six months of study in France.

Program on Philanthropy and Social Innovation (PSI)

PSI seeks to introduce a diverse group of students to issues and challenges affecting philanthropy, social enterprise, nonprofit organizations, and other actors in the social sector. The fellowship is open to both undergraduate and graduate students of color.

The Ford Foundation awards 60 pre-doctoral fellowships providing three years of support to individuals engaged in graduate study leading to a Ph.D. or Sc.D. degree.

Fulbright Public Policy Fellowship

The fellowship will support master’s and PhD students who want to serve in professional positions within foreign-government ministries while also conducting research in policy areas like public health, energy, and economic development. The awards are available in Haiti, Thailand, and nine other countries around the world. Under the Obama administration, the Fulbright Program has put an emphasis on supporting fellowships that help develop ideas that contribute to meeting global challenges, like developing renewable energy or fighting HIV/AIDS.

Each year the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi awards sixty fellowships and forty Awards of Excellence to members entering their first year of graduate or professional study.

Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study

Radcliffe Institute fellowships are designed to support scholars, scientists, artists, and writers of exceptional promise and demonstrated accomplishments who wish to pursue work in academic and professional fields and in the creative arts.

The Roothbert Fund

The principal focus of the fund is its scholarships program, through which it makes grants for undergraduate or graduate study at accredited colleges or universities. The fund seeks candidates who are "motivated by spiritual values," and works to foster fellowship among them.

Soroptimist Women's Opportunity Awards

Eligible applicants must be women who provide the primary financial support for their families, and who are enrolled in or have been accepted to a vocational/skills training program or an undergraduate degree program.

United Nations Graduate Fellows Program

The United Nations provides opportunities for students enrolled in a graduate program to undertake an internship at its headquarters in New York.

University of California Postdoctoral Fellowships

The University of California President's Postdoctoral Fellowship Program was established in 1984 to encourage outstanding women and minority Ph.D. recipients to pursue academic careers at the University of California. The current program offers postdoctoral research fellowships and faculty mentoring to outstanding scholars in all fields whose research, teaching, and service will contribute to the diversity and equal opportunity at the University of California

Wyss Scholars Program

“The Wyss Scholars Program supports the graduate-level education of a new generation of leaders in western land conservation. Wyss Scholars learn the latest in conservation science and policy and apply that knowledge in careers at land management agencies and nonprofit conservation groups.”

Department of Energy Science Graduate Fellowship (SCGF) Program

The DOE Office of Science Graduate Fellowship program (SCGF) supports outstanding graduate students pursuing graduate training in basic research in areas of physics, biology (non-medical), chemistry, mathematics, engineering, computational and computer sciences, and environmental sciences.

Frank Figueroa Memorial Scholarship

The Frank Figueroa Memorial Scholarship is intended to recognize and support excellence in the public service by awarding a stipend to a graduate student pursuing a Masters of Public Administration.

This award is given to a graduate student who is enrolled in full-time master’s study preparing for a career in state and local government finance.

Government Finance Officers Association of the U.S. and Canada (GFOA)

These scholarships are intended for graduate students who are enrolled full-time and are studying for a career in state and local government finance.

IFES Democracy Fellowships

IFES awards two to four Democracy Studies Fellowships to bring outstanding graduate students to Washington, D.C. to engage in democracy development research. Applicants should be pursuing a degree in international relations, political science, public administration, or a related area.

Social Science Research Council (SSRC) Abe Fellowship

The Abe Fellowship Program seeks to foster the development of a new generation of researchers who are interested in policy-relevant topics of long-range importance and who are willing to become key members of a bilateral and global research network.

Truman Scholarships

The Truman Scholarship provides funding to students pursuing graduate degrees in public service fields. Students must be college juniors at the time of selection.

Women’s Research and Education Institute (WREI)

WREI awards annual fellowships to a select number of graduate students with proven commitment to equity for women.

Science and Engineering 

Achievement Rewards for College Scientists (ARCS)

The ARCS Foundation, Inc., does not grant scholar awards directly. Scholars are selected by the… colleges and universities to which ARCS Foundation chapters make allocations. The students, who must have a university grade point average of 3.5 or above, are recommended by their departments.

AES Engineering Scholarship

This scholarship is intended for any student attending a post-secondary educational facility that can exhibit personal character through essays submitted.

Amelia Earhart Fellowship Program

This fellowship is for women pursuing a doctoral degree in aerospace-related sciences.

American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS)

Science & Technology Policy Fellowships provide opportunities in Congressional offices or federal agencies for recent PhD graduates and faculty on sabbatical.

American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics

Through an expanding scholarship program, AIAA awards scholarships annually to 14 graduate students in science or engineering programs related to AIAA’s aerospace mission.

American Institute of Biological Sciences

Several graduate student opportunities including policy fellowships, internships, and the Emerging Public Policy Leader Awards (EPPLA). This award recognizes graduate students in the biological sciences who have demonstrated initiative and leadership in science policy.

American Meteorological Society (AMS)/Industry/Government Graduate Fellowships

Fellowships are sponsored by industry leaders and government agencies and are designed to attract promising young scientists to prepare for careers in the atmospheric and related oceanic and hydrologic fields.

Biomedical Engineering Society Graduate Student Awards

The purpose of these awards is to encourage the active participation of graduate bioengineering students in the Annual Fall Meeting of BMES. Up to five graduate student awards for outstanding biomedical engineering research projects. The awards consist of a certificate, a stipend, registration for a BMES Annual Fall Meeting, and limited travel expenses.

Fight for Sight

Fight for Sight was the first organization founded for the primary purpose of promoting vision-related research. Fight for Sight advances the development of research skills and encourages talented investigators to consider careers in academic ophthalmology or vision science.

Charles LeGeyt Fortescue Graduate Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded for one year of full-time graduate work obtaining their Masters in electrical engineering at an engineering school of recognized standing located in the United States.

Graduate Education, Research, and Traineeship (IGERT) Program

Each year six Ph.D. fellowships will be awarded. The award will include stipends of $30,000 per year for two years. IGERT fellows can pursue Ph.D. degrees in Biology or Forestry.

Alston S. Householder Fellowship in Scientific Computing

The purpose of the Householder Fellowship is to promote innovative research in scientific computing on advanced computer architectures and to facilitate technology transfer from the laboratory research environment to industry and academia through advanced training of new computational scientists.

Healthline Stronger Scholarship Program

While we aim to educate on all things health and wellness, we have especially strong bonds with several health condition communities. Two winners will have an opportunity to submit their plans (within 12 months of the award date) describing how they will impact this year’s focus community, type 2 diabetes.  Healthline is proud to be awarding two $10,000 scholarships to students enrolled in graduate school for the 2017 Fall Semester.

Hydro Research Foundation Fellowships

Jefferson Science Fellows Program
