Mucous Secretion

The mucus secretions occupy the majority of the cytoplasm of the cell.
They are delineated by the unit membrane and appear to form from small
vesicles derived from the Golgi apparatus (arrow). Thin strips of
cytoplasm rich in RER and mitochondria separate the individual mucus
spherules.
