Low power micrograph of the renal epithelium showing a mucous cell and
adjacent nephrocytes. The mucous cells are generally globose in shape
and are characterised by numerous secretory spherules of moderate
electron density. The apical portion of the cell is tapered and presents
only a small area to the lumen of the kidney sac.
