Call For Participation
We are inviting contributors to participate in the Global Campus.
The Global Campus is an emerging World Wide Web project containing a
variety of outstanding educational materials. There is a wealth of material
owned by faculty, students and community members that has traditionally been
hidden away in drawers and filing cabinets for lack of reasonable methods of
sharing. The Global Campus offers a way in which these materials can
be shared and utilized worldwide by users with minimal computer expertise.
The Global Campus provides an intuitive interface between the
information seeker and the information provider. This is accomplished by
using the Internet and the World Wide Web to organize geographically
distributed resources into one coherent "campus". Users need only click on
areas of interest on the campus map to discover a wealth of instructional
material.
The goal of the Global Campus project is to provide access to high
quality information to be used by students and faculty in developing new
media programs for enhancing learning and teaching. Contributors to the
Global Campus agree to make materials available for non-profit,
educational purposes.
You can participate in the Global Campus in three ways:
- We invite you to explore the pilot version of the Global Campus
through your World Wide Web browser at
http://www.csulb.edu/gc/
- We invite you to participate in the Global Campus as an
Global Campus Information Provider.
If you have high quality instructional material in one or more of the new
media formats and are willing to share this material with others over the
World Wide Web you can be an information provider. You must either own
the copyright of the material or have permission to submit the materials
to the Global Campus for instructional use. We prefer you to
provide the materials in digital format but if that is not possible, we
do have limited resources to help convert non-digitized material.
- If you already have instructional material on the web and would like us to add a link to your material from the Global Campus, contact us.
