Many of CSULB’s donors decide to make their contributions at the end of the year to ensure that they will receive the benefits of a charitable tax deduction.
There are several ways in which donors may make a year end gift to CSULB:
One of the easiest ways to make a year end gift is to contribute online. To do so, access our online giving site by December 31, 2011 to make your gift.
To send a check or credit card gift through the mail, print out and complete our Gift-Pledge Form. Send your completed form and along with your check (payable to the “CSULB Foundation”) to the following address:

Mailed gifts must be postmarked by December 31, 2011 to qualify for a 2011 charitable tax deduction.
In some instances, donors prefer to personally deliver or use a courier service to have their gifts delivered to CSULB. The delivery address for a courier service is as follows:

Delivered gifts must be received by university staff before 1:00 PM on December 30, 2011 to qualify for a 2011 charitable tax deduction.
Donors may make a gift by using their credit card over the telephone. The CSULB Foundation accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Development staff will be available to accept your credit card gift during the holiday season. To make a year end gift by phone during the week of December 26-30, please call 562/985-5299.
Some donors prefer the added tax benefits of giving long term appreciated securities. Stock gifts can be made through December 31, but must be initiated by your broker in sufficient time to clear before the close of business on the 30th. In order that we may be certain to credit you for your stock gifts, please email Mary Ann Messing at MaryAnn.Messing@csulb.edu with the name, number of shares, and your contact information prior to initiating your stock transfer or fill out the Gift of Securities Notification Form and fax to 562/985-7951
