The Beach Fund Call Center employs nearly 50 student callers each semester. This group of talented students takes pride in attending CSULB and understands the importance of private support. Reporting Line: Senior Caller, Student Supervisor, Coordinator, Assistant Director
Student Caller Staff: 40-50 Student Callers
Hours: Minimum of 4 calling shifts per week, 12 hours per week
Compensation: $8.00 per hour plus Performance Bonuses
The Student Caller position is an entry-level position into the Beach Fund. Student callers are responsible for contacting CSULB’s alumni and parents to inform them of campus news and events, answer any questions about the University, and solicit financial support for CSULB. Student callers alone are responsible for generating thousands of dollars each semester for the Beach Fund. The student caller is expected to progress in their fundraising ability and work closely with the supervisor staff in order to ensure improvement.

Senior Caller Staff: 5-10 Senior Callers
Hours: Minimum of 5 calling shifts per week, 15 hours per week
Minimum 2 management staff meetings per month
Compensation: $8.50 - $9.00 per hour plus Performance Bonuses
The senior caller is the entry-level leadership position at the program. The senior caller serves as an ambassador for the Beach Fund. The senior caller mentors and works with their team members by setting an example of the standard call and caller success, while guiding other students along the same path.
The senior caller has a positive attitude, is highly motivated, and consistently exceeds expectations. Senior callers are the core group, responsible for bringing in a majority of the funds, setting the pace for fundraising, and creating a positive environment and work culture. Call Center management staff can always depend on this group to work beyond minimum expectations to help reach Beach Fund goals. This group of approximately five to ten senior callers also serves as a pool of candidates for the next open student supervisor position.

Student Manager Staff: 3-5 Student Supervisors
Hours: 15-20 hours per week
Compensation: Starting $9.00 - $12.00 per hour plus Lead Caller Bonus Plan
