NTE/PraxisThe Praxis Series is an Educational Testing Service (ETS) program that provides tests and other services for states to use as part of their teacher certification process. Colleges and universities use these assessments to qualify individuals for entry into teacher education programs. The Praxis Series is the choice of 35 of the 43 states that include tests as part of their teacher licensure process. You need to take The Praxis Series if you want to teach public school in one of these 35 states, or if you want to enter a teacher education program at a college or university that uses Praxis I: Pre-Professional Skills Assessments. Different states and institutions require different tests in The Praxis Series, so be sure you know which tests you need before you register.
