If You Missed the Deadline Date:

  • Contact the Testing Office at (562) 985-4007 two days before the test date for Standby Information.

Test Fee:

  • $10.00
  • Make your check or money order payable to CSULB – DO NOT send cash.
  • Print your name, last name first, in upper left corner of check or money order, even if your name is already printed on your check.
  • Print your student identification number in the lower left or "memo" corner.
  • There are no refunds. If you miss a test date, you must register and pay the test fee again.

Test Sessions:

The reporting time for the test will be printed on the Admission Ticket. You will not be admitted if you are late. The actual time of the test is 45 minutes. However, in order to be admitted, hear instructions, and complete additional paperwork, you should allow 1½ hours.

Special Accommodations for Chemistry 111 A:

If you are a disabled student with a physical or learning disability, which requires special arrangements (such as wheelchair access, extended time, a reader, or a recorder), please contact the CSULB Office of Disabled Student Services at (562) 985-5401 for a referral form. By no later than the published deadline date, bring your signed referral form and test registration with you to Test Services to set up an individual, weekday appointment.

Test Materials:

(bring the following items with you the day of the test)

  • Admission Ticket (with date, time and room label)
  • Photo / Signature Identification (California Driver's License preferred)
  • ID Number - CSULB campus student identification number
  • Pencils and Pens
  • All Calculators are acceptable

Score Report Information and Course Placement:

Notification of appropriate course placement and results will be e-mailed to you. Do not phone the Chemistry/Biochemistry Department for results. For information regarding registration or score reporting, please contact Testing and Evaluation Services at (562) 985-4007
