A registration bulletin is available for the ACT at the Testing and Evaluation Services Office and the test is administered on the CSULB campus.
The ACT Assessment, or "A-C-T" as it is commonly called,
is a national college admission examination that consists of tests
in: English, mathematics, reading and science reasoning. Each of
these tests contains multiple choice questions that offer either
four or five answer choices from which you are to choose the correct,
or best, answer. ACT results are accepted by virtually all U.S.
colleges and universities. The ACT Assessment offers a comprehensive
way for high school students to demonstrate to the colleges and
universities of their choice that they can become successful college
students.
Before you choose a test date, consider the application deadlines
of the colleges and scholarship agencies that are of interest to
you. It will take four to seven weeks after a test date for ACT
to mail your score report to you and to your college or agency choices.
Many college and scholarship agencies recommend that high school
students take the ACT during the spring semester of their junior
year. By this time, students usually have completed most of the
coursework covered by the ACT.
The ACT includes 215 multiple choice questions and takes approximately
3 hours and 30 minutes to complete with breaks. Actual testing time
is 2 hours and 55 minutes.
