  • American Association of University Women - A program promoting education and equity for women and girls through grants, fellowships, and awards.

  • Associated Western Universities - Providing professional development through internship and fellowship programs for business, science, and engineering students, graduates and faculty.

  • Center for Scholarship Information - A resource at CSULB that provides scholarship information and links to several scholarship search engines.

  • Ford Foundation - The foundation's focus is on exhibits, community affairs and educational programs, conferences, symposia, research grants and special projects that improve citizen interest and understanding of the challenges that confront government.

  • Funding Resources - UCLA has put together links to funding agencies and search able databases for finding funding sources.

  • Gates Millennium Scholars - The Gates Millennium Scholars initiative, funded by a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and administered by the United Negro College Fund and partners, is aimed at expanding access and opportunity to higher education to those citizens who will help reflect the diverse society in which we live.

  • MOLIS (Minority Online Information Service) - This search service provides information about scholarship opportunities for qualified minority applicants.

  • National Academies Fellowship Programs Unit - Administers predoctoral, dissertation, postdoctoral and other fellowship programs for advanced study in research-based disciplines. The fellowships include the Ford Foundation Predoctoral, Dissertation and Postdoctoral Fellowships for Minorities, the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Predoctoral Fellowships in Biological Sciences, the NASA Administrator's Fellowship Program and the U.S. Department of Education OERI Visiting Scholar's Program.

  • National Physical Science Consortium - The NPSC offers a unique and exciting doctoral graduate fellowship program in the physical sciences and related engineering fields which directs special emphasis toward the recruitment of underrepresented minority and female physical science students in order to offset the historic imbalance faced by these underrepresented groups within the research community. Each fellowship is worth from $156,000 to $200,000, depending on which university a student attends. The NPSC is a nonprofit organization so there is no fee to our applicants. "This is a full-time study Ph.D. track program."
