On the day CSULB takes possession of the property that will become the Cal State Long Beach Residential Learning College, crews will be ready to go in and begin renovations. By fall 2009, the 5.04-acre facility formerly known as Brooks College will have undergone improvements exceeding $10 million and will become a unique living and learning environment for up to 550 CSULB students. 
Recent campus actions will add to the margin of excellence as we collectively work to build a great university.

The U.S. Department of State were on hand as the Division of Student Services opened a U.S. Passport Application Acceptance Office in the Career Development Center.
Candice Chick Shirey is a former CSULB athleate is now advising The Beach's current student-athletes. She can relate with what they are going through, her own road to success was paved with challenges.
