Ferdinand Arcinue, Counseling and Psychological Services, co-authored an article, “An Exploratory Look at Problematic Peers in Academic Professional Psychology Programs,” in the January issue of the American Psychological Association’s journal, Professional Psychology: Research and Practice.
Kim Hinckson, Associated Students, Inc., is a recipient of the CSULB Women’s Commission’s 2006 Advancement of Women Awards for outstanding campus-wide service, research and teaching.
Mike Hostetler, Associate Vice President/Dean of Students, attended the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators annual conference held in Washington, D.C. in March. He participated in public policy presentations concerning the Family Education Right and Privacy Act and the Reauthorization Act. Hostetler serves on NASPA’s national Public Policy Advisory Committee.
On March 25, Jeff Klaus, Student Life and Development, was keynote speaker for The John Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth 2006 Odyssey Series held in the University Student Union. Klaus also served as keynote speaker for the annual Southern California Council of Alumnae Panhellenics luncheon held April 19 in Seal Beach.
Caitlin Roberts, Student Life and Development, served as facilitator at the Panhellenic Recruitment Summit held April 8 at the University of California, Irvine. Roberts also served as facilitator at the Recruitment Boot Camp: Training Day held August 19-20 at CSU, Northridge.
Douglas Robinson, Vice President for Student Services, received the Leadership Excellence Award at the 2006 CSU Alcohol and Other Drugs Education Conference. The award honors a senior administrator who has served as a champion for alcohol and other drug initiatives on her/his campus.
