Week of Welcome, Smorgasport kick off Fall semester

Five days filled with fun, festivities and giveaways are in store for students as Week of Welcome and Smorgasport 2008 come to CSULB from Sept. 8-12.

"Get Connected" with Long Beach Transit -- Free

From August 25 to September 30, Long Beach Transit is offering U-Pass --free bus and Passport shuttle rides for all CSULB students and staff as part of a trial program. All current students and staff need is a valid CSULB identification card to swipe through the farebox machine on the bus or Passport shuttle.

Affordable healthcare available for students

Aetna Student Health for the first time is offering a dental plan through its affordable healthcare program. For more information, visit the AS Business Office on the second floor of the University Student Union, or call (562) 985-4994.

Find out at the Associated Students Inc. Info Night Sept. 17 from 4-7 p.m. in the USU Ballrooms. All the departments in ASI will be there to help you find a place you will enjoy. There will be food, fun and information throughout the night, so feel free to stop by anytime.

 

Associated Students, Inc. is a nonprofit membership association and auxiliary organization of the university. The mission of ASI is to improve the quality of campus life for students while enhancing their educational experience. Students automatically become members of the association when they pay their mandatory student fees at the time of registration.
