The majority of scholarships offered by California State University, Long Beach are for our current students. However, the following are scholarships or resources you may look into for potential scholarship opportunities:
Scholarships for Students Coming out of High School
There are few scholarships for which high school students may apply when entering California State University, Long Beach. They are listed as follows:
Athletic Scholarships
There are eighteen NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) sports at California State University, Long Beach. Please contact the coach of the appropriate athletic team regarding scholarship opportunities at the collegiate level by viewing the "Athletic Staff Phone and E-mail Directory."
President's Scholars Program
The President's Scholars Program is open to all qualifying California high school valedictorians and/or National Merit Finalists or Semifinalists from California. Please view the President's Scholars Program for more information.
Department Scholarships
The university departments may have scholarships for high school students who will be attending CSULB starting their freshman year. Please contact them directly to inquire if any scholarships are available for you to apply.

CSUMentor is an online resource designed to help students and their families learn about the CSU system, select a CSU campus to attend, plan to finance higher education, and apply for admission. Definitely check out the financial aid portion of this site.

Scholarship search engines not only contain scholarship searches, but also offer a wide variety of information on financial aid topics. We recommend that you never pay for a scholarship search process.
