Cal-SOAP College Access Scholarship Recepients 2008

Funded by the College Access Foundation of Californa and offered through the Cal-SOAP College Access Scholarship Program, over $82,000 in college scholarships were made available to seniors at 16 participant high schools in Compton, Long Beach, Lakewood, and Whittier, and five scholarships were made available to seniors who frequent the Youth Opportunity Center of Long Beach. The scholarships were granted to students who will enroll at a college or university in the fall of 2008: $1,000 scholarships were awarded for community college enrollment, the $2,000 scholarships were awarded university enrollment, and the $500 scholarships were awarded to students who frequent the Youth Opportunity Center and will enroll at either a community college or university.

With generous support from the College Access Foundation of California, the Greater Long Beach Regional Education Consortium and the Long Beach Regional Cal-SOAP Program are thrilled to share the names of the 2008 Cal-SOAP College Access Scholarship winners:
