Back at the Beach ...Again:)

It's the first day of school and it is always funny to see so many people show up to campus, even if they didn't have class. Lines were long for lunch and finding parking was interesting as usual (although much better now with the new parking lot). We are all excited about our classes and making new friends, but this year has special meaning to me… it will be my final year here at CSULB! That's right, my first day of my last year in my undergraduate career here at the Beach. I'm nervous and excited and I keep having these flashbacks of my freshmen year. The first school book I bought, being excited that we had a Music Listening Lounge. Why, back then everything was so fresh and exciting that I wasn't sure I would make it to my graduation in four years. Well five years later, I’m here and as I embark on this final year I hope to impart some wisdom about my experience here at the school.

My tip for the week? Go shoot some pool at the USU Games Center...
USU Games Center Pool Tables
I went by there today and saw a grip of people playing pool between classes and sitting in the new comfy Games Center chairs. Not only is it dirt cheap to play, but this is also a good way to waste time between classes. Oh and they have snacks there too.

Want more from Meli?

Well we don't have any more Meli for you yet. But don't worry we'll keep you posted.

Meli Duque

Who is Meli The Gr8?

When she is not posing next to trees, Meli Duque uses her time to trick unknowing freshmen into giving all their time to ASI.

The self-proclaimed Beach Guru is a super-senior who has been involved, one way or another, in almost every type of organization on campus, which includes writing for both school newspapers (when that was allowed), joining a sorority, campaigning for student government, and even rowing on the women's crew team (it only lasted two weeks). Now she stays chained to a desk in ASI Communications where she writes, edits and awaits her chance to escape into the "real world" this spring.
