CSULB Student Assessment Findings
The Division of Student Services and Institutional Research & Assessment, in partnership with Academic Affairs, systematically collect data pertaining to entering student characteristics, student satisfaction, and test results. To the left are categories of the types of data we collect. If you click on one of these links, you'll see a menu of items you can choose from to see what findings exist for a particular topic, as well as the procedures used to collect the data.
We have many descriptive findings about our students at CSULB, as you will see from browsing through these menus. What would greatly enrich these findings is 1) your opinion of what kinds of additional reports we should generate and 2) follow-up studies of student cohorts throughout their years at our institution and beyond, particularly studies of achievement, retention, graduation, and career placement. We intend to conduct a significant amount of follow-up research in the 2005-2006 academic year and beyond, and will post our findings on this site as they become available. These findings should be very useful for understanding institutional effectiveness, program planning, enrollment management, retention/graduation efforts, and accreditation.
Visit our site frequently, as we will constantly be adding new findings, or reflecting on those already here. Please click on the contact information link below if you wish to make a comment or become involved in the analysis of these findings.
