Choosing & Scheduling a Campus Tour

Thank you for your interest in CSULB. Below you will find information on choosing and scheduling a campus tour.

Family/Individual Tours

If you would like to visit our campus on your own, or bring guests (maximum 4 per family) then this tour is right for you. This tour is specifically designed for individuals and their families and takes place in a small group setting. The one hour walking tour showcases campus distinctions and facilities, provides a general overview of campus academic programs, student support services and campus life.

Scheduling a Family/Individual Tour

We recommend that reservations be made in advance; space is limited and tours fill quickly. To make a reservation, click here to Request a Campus Tour. This form only lists tour dates that are available at this time. If we are unable to provide you with an escorted tour, please consider our self-guided tour option.

Note that housing tours are not part of the general tour. Visit Housing & Residential Life for more information.

Group Tours

This one hour walking tour allows large groups, (usually 10 or more), specifically middle school, high school, and community college students the opportunity to visit CSULB. This tour features campus “hot spots” as our tour guides provide highlights of campus distinctions, an overview of programs, student support services and campus life. Group tour availability is limited.

Scheduling A Group Tour

We are currently not accepting requests. See chart below. We recommend that you contact us at the beginning of the semester that you would like to visit our campus; space is limited and tours will fill quickly. We no longer accept phone requests. No early submissions will be honored. We recommend that you consider our self-guided tour brochure as another opportunity to explore our campus.

Due to the high demand for group tours, we give first priority to scheduling groups with students ready to transition into the university and schools and colleges in our local area. Tours will then be scheduled on a first come, first serve basis.

Visiting Fall

Visiting Winter

Visiting Spring Request accepted no sooner than the second week of February - if budget allows

Visiting Summer
No group tours available.

Self-Guided Tours

If you are unable to attend a regularly scheduled tour, we are pleased to offer our self-guided tour service. Our Self-Guided Tour Brochure features a detailed campus map and photographs to assist you in finding your way around campus. Our easy to follow, step-by-step tour routes are designed to ensure that you get the most from your time on campus. This brochure provides an exciting and educational view of The Beach!
