Below are many web resources for college/university information, most related to scholarships and loans, and some addressed specifically for under-represented groups. Remember to be cautious when accessing any of the links, keeping in mind that you should never pay for any search service nor give out your social security number online. CSULB Financial Aid

US Department of Education FAFSA Express

Provides an online form to complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  Apply online and save 2-3 weeks in processing time.  (Note: If you have already submitted a paper copy, do NOT submit another one via your computer.)  Call 1-800-4-FED-AID from 8am to midnight eastern time, seven days a week, with questions or your FAFSA status.

Direct Loans

Apply electronically for a Direct Consolidation Loan.  Includes financial aid calculators and other useful information.  The US Department of Education’s Online Counseling Session is required before receiving a Federal Direct Loan.  Download deferment and forbearance forms.

Research and compare private and alternative loans for international and adult students.

Western Interstate Commission on Higher Education

This site provides information on the Western Undergraduate Exchange program. The program allows students in certain programs to enroll at reduced rates in two- and four-year colleges. The site also lists all states participating in the program.

U.S. News & World Report

This site has information on how to pay for school, colleges, and careers, best value rankings for colleges, and hot jobs for the 90's. Includes college rankings and other school information.
