Eligibility Requirements
The TRiO Student Support Services Program is federally funded by the
United States Department of Education to assist 450 eligible students in their pursuit of higher education.
Program eligibility requires that a student meet the following requirements to receive program services:
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Be currently enrolled at CSULB
- Meet one or more of the following criteria:
- A first-generation college student (neither parent has received a four-year college degree)
- Financially limited (according to federal standards)
- An individual with disabilities
- Have a need for academic support to successfully pursue postsecondary education
- Demonstrate a potential for success with the program's support
CSULB students who meet these criteria will be admitted to the program on a first-come, first-served basis.
