DDuring the week of October 8, 2012, the Gay Straight Alliance Student Organization and the ASI Secretary for LGBTQIA Affairs will run a full-page ad in the campus newspaper with the following introduction:
We are students, professors, coworkers, roommates, teammates, alumni/ae, friends, and family, and we are just a few of the intelligent, creative, and supportive lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning individuals - or heterosexual allies of LGBT individuals - who are part of the diverse Cal State Long Beach community. We invite you to join us in celebrating National Coming Out Day, October 11, 2012.
Following this statement will appear hundreds of names of LGBT or ally students, faculty, staff, and alumni who have chosen to be on CSULB's 2012 OUTlist.
It's free for students to add their names to the OUTlist.
If faculty, staff, alumni, and non-CSULB allies are able, a donation of $5 to help offset the cost of the full-page ad is appreciated. Please make checks payable to “CSULB” with "OutList" listed in the memo section of your check.
