Organization officers should seek a working relationship with their advisors in order to maximize the valuable roles that SLD and faculty/staff advisors can play. As early as possible, new officers should meet with their advisors to discuss the organization's mission and goals, mutual expectations, and areas where the advisor can offer the most help.
At least one officer must attend the Orientation Workshop to obtain the ability to reserve rooms and plan events on campus. If your organization receives funding from Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) two officers must attend the ASI Fiscal Certification Workshop. If your organization is planning on selling or serving food to non-organization members at least one officer must attend the Food Handling Workshop.
If your organization needs a room on a consistent basis you can reserve a meeting room for the entire school semester by going to the University Student Union Conference and Events Center, USU-221, to book a room.
*Remember, you must first attend the Orientation Workshop to reserve a room or plan events on campus.
