MSI

The Menís Success Initiative (MSI) at CSULB has been providing support and services to African American and Latino male students since 2010. MSIís mission is to provide support and resources to African American and Latino male students as a way to enhance their academic, personal, and professional success.

Mission Statement

The Menís Success Initiative (MSI) seeks to provide support and resources to African American and Latino male students as a way to enhance in their academic, personal, and professional success.

Services

By participating in the Menís Success Initiative, students will:

  • Receive referrals to campus support resources and services.
  • Receive encouragement to enhance and improved their engagement on campus.
  • Be exposed to a number of campus support services and resources through offered workshops.
  • Receive referrals to writing specialists for writing assistance.
  • Receive assistance in searching and preparing for scholarships and other financial aid opportunities.
  • Participate in a specialized financial and economic literacy courses.
  • Be exposed to various workshops for professional, academic, and personal development.

Joint meetings are held in Multicultural Center (FO3-003)

News and Event

University students took to Twitter in droves Tuesday afternoon to share their experiences as Black students in Ann Arbor and bring attention to issues of race and diversity on campus using the hashtag #BBUM.
