Linda O'Hara
T he Leadership Academy is fortunate to have members of the CSULB faculty such as Linda O’Hara, who volunteers to facilitate student workshops. O’Hara is an assistant professor in the College of Business Administration who teaches classes on leadership and motivation. O’Hara received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Villanova University, an M.B.A. from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in psychology from Yale.
O’Hara is enthusiastic about student leadership and, in particular, the Lois J. Swanson Leadership Academy. She recently organized a faculty and staff gathering on student leadership development. O’Hara believes that academic success should not be looked at in terms of grades only. She stresses that running an organization or holding a leadership position can give a student valuable skills. These skills will prove helpful in life after graduation. O’Hara facilitates a leadership styles workshop for the Leadership Academy and also contributes by holding leadership workshops in her leadership and motivation class.
Thank you, Dr. O’Hara, for your commitment to student leadership and the Leadership Academy!
