The CLGC is a festival and beautiful event that takes place the weekend before CSULB's Commencement week. The ceremony celebrates the student's personal success and academic achievements in the spirit and tradition of the Chicano/Latino culture.
The CLGC is dedicated to familia, comunidad, and cultura. Graduates have an opportunity to publicly thank those who have supported them throughout their educational career by writing a special dedication that will be read aloud as they walk across the stage. The celebration is also presented bilingually to accommodate both English and Spanish speakers.
Any CSULB student completing a degree in Spring, Summer or Fall.
Absolutely. The CLGC is open to all CSULB graduating students.
It is not mandatory; however, it is to your benefit to know what to expect the day of the celebration. This will also give you an opportunity to inform your loved ones of your seat placement in the Pyramid.
Each graduate is given two complimentary guest tickets with registration. In addition, presale tickets may be purchased in three sessions. Each session allows you to purchase twenty tickets. Tickets are $4.00 each.
*Graduates are encouraged to purchase their first twenty tickets at the time of their registration. After the 3rd session, all graduates may purchase an unlimited amount of tickets. Note: Please be aware that this is very popular celebration and every year, we reach capacity. We recommend that you register as soon as possible to be able to purchase additional presale tickets.
