Dear African American Graduate,
Congratulations on your graduation from California State University, Long Beach! Your time spent at this university will prove to be one of the most significant experiences of your life.
The 26th Annual African American Graduation Celebration will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 2:00 PM. There will be a reception to follow. There is a $2.00 admission charge for the Celebration.
Graduates are required to wear a cap and gown, which are available for rent at the University Bookstore. All graduates are to arrive for the rehearsal at the CSULB Pyramid on May 18, 2013 no later than 10:00 AM. We ask that the graduates arrive for the rehearsal dressed for the celebration. You will not have time to leave after the rehearsal.
The registration fee of $40.00 is *due by Monday, April 29th, 2013 in order to participate in the Celebration. Payments can be made at the ASI Business Office (USU-229). Please note: No personal checks are accepted for payment.
Graduates and their families will have an opportunity to submit camera-ready photos, poems, and well wishes to be included in the Graduation Celebration Memory Book. The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 3, 2013 at 5:00 PM at the Office of Student Life and Development (USU-215). Please note that space is limited.
