
Jeffrey Klaus, Director of Student Life and Development (SLD), is responsible for the day to day management of the SLD office, the Lois J. Swanson Leadership Resource Center, and all advisement, leadership programs, and community outreach projects coordinated by Student Life and Development. The Director provides visionary leadership that enables student leaders and student development advisors the ability to collaborate and succeed in maintaining the co-curricular mission of California State University, Long Beach.

As Assistant Director of Student Life and Development, Brett Waterfield coordinates a variety of student development programs for student organizations. This includes overseeing the cultural graduation celebrations, various community service events SLD holds throughout the year, and coordinating components of the University's Kaleidoscope Open House. Mr. Waterfield also advises cultural and honor societies, as well as assisting the Director with managing SLD staff.

As the Coordinator of Greek Life, Caitlan Roberts advises and provides resources and leadership development assistance to the fraternities and sororities on campus. These organizations include the national fraternities organized under the Inter Fraternity Council (IFC), national sororities under the Panhellenic Council, cultural organizations under the Cultural Greek Council (CGC), and national African-American fraternities and sororities organized under the National Pan Hellenic Council (NPHC). The Greek Life Coordinator also helps coordinate the SOAR II program and the annual Homecoming celebration.

As Student Resource Center Coordinator, Matthew Cabrera provides advisement and program and leadership development assistance to the student leaders in the five student resource centers. These include the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Resource Center (LGBTRC), the Raza Resource Center, the African Student Association Center, the American Indian Student Study Center and the Asian Pacific Student Resource Center.

A Student Life and Development Coordinator, Anna Nazarian-Peters advises and provides program support to religious, cultural, and political and social action clubs. Anna is also the Coordinator of American Indian Student Services, providing academic advisement to students of American Indian descent.

As a Coordinator of Student Life and Development, Zion is responsible for advising Honor and Recognition Societies, Service Organizations, Special Interest Groups, and academic associations within the College of the Arts.

Michael Jackson is the Administrative Support Coordinator for Student Life and Development (SLD). Included in Mike's responsibilities are managing the department budget, managing human resources, directing the department's marketing projects, and promoting SLD to the campus community.

Diane Taylor, Administrative Support Coordinator, organizes and coordinates services provided by the Student Life and Development office. Diane trains and supervises student assistants, provides administrative support to the SLD office staff and manages daily operations within the department. Most importantly, the Administrative Support Coordinator is the main point of Email between the campus community and Student Life and Development.
