Dear Student Leader,
Congratulations on assuming your role as a student officer this year! Along with leaders from nearly 300 student organizations, you will be an important contributor to a dynamic out-of-classroom environment at California State University, Long Beach.
In addition to making a positive difference on campus, you will gain valuable skills that are critical to your career and life pursuits once you graduate. So, keep "the big picture" in mind as you face the upcoming challenges of leadership.
Remember that your working relationship with your Student Life & Development (SLD) Advisor is a key to developing high quality programs. Please see your advisor as early as possible after your organization comes up with an idea for an event. Together, you and your SLD advisor can refine the concepts and create a timeline that will help you achieve your objectives.
While your primary relationship will be with your assigned advisor, all Student Life & Development staff will be happy to assist you with quick referrals and point you in the right direction.
