President or designee picks up an organization registration card (ORC) from the SLD office.
The club officers completely fill out the requested information on the front and back of the card:
President or designee makes an appointment with their assigned SLD advisor for a final signature which completes the SLD registration process.
President or designee turns in the completed ORC to SLD Receptionist in USU-215. They verify officer eligibility for the president and chairpersons of major committees and scheduling eligibility for others listed on the ORC. NOTE: No one will be able to take the Orientation & Scheduling Certification exam without a completed ORC.
Eligible students can return to the SLD receptionist to take the Orientation & Scheduling Certification Exam. Students will be given a copy of the Scheduling Certification handouts and the Campus Regs "Posting..." and "Scheduling..." brochures with the exam. Another option for student leaders is to take the Orientation & Scheduling Certification Exam on BeachBoard.
Students return the completed exam to the receptionist for grading. The exam will be graded on-the-spot upon its return to SLD. If the student leader opted to take the Orientation & Scheduling Certification Exam on BeachBoard, please print your results and bring them to the SLD receptionist.
If the student passes the exam, the student's name will be sent to the Event Planning Office so that the student can start scheduling within one or two days. NOTE: Also, in the fall semester, Orientation & Scheduling Certification Workshops are scheduled in August and September for those students who would prefer to receive the information in workshop format. Check with the Office of Student Life & Development for the dates and to register for these workshops.
