Eligibility and Insurance

CSULB University Seal

CSULB Students

All regularly enrolled students registered for the current semester who have paid the $45.00 mandatory health fee are eligible for services. Most medical services are covered under the basic service fee with the exception of pharmacy, off-campus labs and x-ray copies.

During the summer, continuing students not enrolled in CSULB's summer sessions may pay $45 for health services if the student was enrolled in the Fall and Spring terms immediately prior to the Summer, and is registered for the upcoming Fall term. The $45 fee is valid for the entire summer.

College of Continuing and Professional Education (CCPE) Students

Students taking classes through the College of Continuing and Professional Education (CCPE) can receive health services for a fee of $15.00 per visit, while classes are in session.

Medical Insurance

It is strongly recommended that students have major medical insurance to cover hospitalizations and other specialty services not available at SHS. Please visit Covered California for enrollment information.
