Eligibility

CSULB University Seal

CSULB Students

All regularly enrolled students registered for the current semester who have paid the $45.00 mandatory health fee are eligible for services.Most medical services are covered under the basic service fee with the exception of pharmacy, external labs and x-ray copies.

University College and Extension Services (UCES) Students

Students taking classes through University College and Extension Services can receive health services for a fee of $15.00 per visit, while classes are in session.

Continuing Students (Taking a semester off)

Continuing students* are eligible for services by paying the $45.00 health fee at Student Health Services.

*Student Health Services offers services for regularly enrolled continuing students who take one semester off in a 12 month period. There is a non-refundable $45.00 health fee for this Off-Term coverage. The Off-Term may be Fall, Spring, or Summer.

The “Off Term” is any one of the three semesters during the 12-month year provided that the student has been regularly enrolled at least two terms immediately prior to the term of nonattendance and there is an indication of intent to enroll during the following semester. Students may count only one term per 12-month period as the “Off Term.”

Hospital Medical Insurance

Medical Insurance is available for CSULB students throught the Associated Students Business Office. Call ASBO at (562) 985-4994 for information.
