The van Lent Family Loan
T he van Lent family and CSULB’s Partners for Success Program have established a fund to support Partners students with emergency loans. The fund was initiated by a gift of $1,100 from the Colleen and Mike van Lent family. Colleen van Lent was a dedicated Partners faculty mentor and computer science/computer engineering professor for several years at CSULB prior to moving out of state. CSULB students who are currently in the Partners for Success Program and in good academic standing are eligible to apply for an emergency loan without having to disclose the reason.
