HIV & STI Testing & Counseling

We offer free and confidential HIV testing. You will be tested using an oral swab technique and it is called rapid testing. This means that you will get your results back the same day. Generally, it takes about 20 to 30 minutes. During this time, you will meet with a state-certified HIV test counselor for a short HIV counseling session.

Beginning June 1, 2009:

Walk-in Sessions Daily

Monday-Thursday:

  • 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, last walk-in at 11:30 AM.
  • 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, last walk-in at 3:30 PM.

Walk-ins are available every thirty minutes, on the half hour. Walk-ins are first come, first served.

Your HIV testing information is confidential, which means that we do have to use your name when we test you. This is NOT connected to your medical or academic record on this campus.

When scheduling your appointment, we try to give you the most confidentiality possible, so we will use your birth date and initials of your first and last name, rather than your student identification number. Learn more about HIV and AIDS.

Should you be tested for HIV?

Ask yourself these questions.

  1. Have you ever had unprotected sex (anal, vaginal or oral)?
  2. Have you ever been exposed to someone else's blood?
  3. Have you shared needles (or syringes) for piercing, tattooing, steroids, drugs, or other substances?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, you should get tested for HIV.

Could you be at risk for STIs?

Take this STI Wizard Assessment and find out!

STI Wizard
