HIV & STI Testing & Counseling:

Call The Health Resource Center for more information about free, confidential HIV testing.

We offer free and confidential HIV testing. You will be tested using an oral swab technique and it is called rapid testing. This means that you will get your results back the same day. Generally, it takes about 20 to 30 minutes. During this time, you will meet with a state-certified HIV test counselor for a short HIV counseling session.

Off-Campus Referrals:

Your HIV testing information is confidential, which means that we do have to use your name when we test you. Learn more about HIV and AIDS.

Should you be tested for HIV?

Ask yourself these questions.

  1. Have you ever had unprotected sex (anal, vaginal or oral)?
  2. Have you ever been exposed to someone else's blood?
  3. Have you shared needles (or syringes) for piercing, tattooing, steroids, drugs, or other substances?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, you should get tested for HIV.

Could you be at risk for STIs?

Take this STI Wizard Assessment and find out!

STI Wizard

It is important to know your risk and see your healthcare provider for possible treatment options based on level of risk. The STI Wizard is a website to assess your personal risk of attaining an STI (also known as STI or sexually transmitted infection). It is completely anonymous and does not require the input of any identifiable information. In order to ensure confidentiality the Privacy Policy should be read and guidelines should be followed. The Wizard will ask a series of questions about personal information, such as: age, gender, ethnicity, and sexual practices. The questions should be answered as truthfully as possible. Your answers will be assessed and recommendations based on your responses will be given. A copy of the questions and your responses with the recommendations can be printed for personal information or for your healthcare provider.
