Spring 2008 Counseling Appointments

Mandatory Freshman Advising (MFA)

All first-time freshmen should be aware that university policy requires that prior to registering for the fall 2008 semester; you must meet with your academic advisor to release your registration “hold.” MFA contracts should be completed with your EOP counselor or peer advisor during the month of April. Freshman registration begins in May.

First Tier Students

Freshmen, Sophomores: Three contacts per semester, once per month
Juniors (60-75 units): Two contacts per semester

First Tier Counselors by College:

  • Homa Danieli: Business Administration and Liberal Arts
  • Jorge Nin: Engineering, Liberal Studies, and Natural Science and Mathematics
  • Hillina Jarso: Summer Bridge Program students – All majors
  • Harrelson: Health and Human Services
  • Adrian Rodriguez: Arts
  • All Counselors: Undeclared

Second Tier Students

Juniors: Two contacts per semester
Seniors: One contact per semester

Second Tier Counselors by College:

  • Claudia Lopez: College of Engineering and College of Natural Science & Math
  • Harrelson Notah: College of Health and Human Services, Liberal Studies, Nursing and Social Work
  • Adrian Rodriguez: College of Liberal Arts and College of the Arts
  • Hillina Jarso: Summer Bridge Program students – All majors

Please make sure to make your first appointment early in the semester. By the week of March 14, registration holds will be placed on students of all class levels whom have not made at least one contact.
