EOP Application Procedures and Deadlines

How and when do I apply to EOP?

To be considered for EOP you must indicate your interest in the program by checking the appropriate section on the CSU application. Once you have submitted your on-line University application you will be able to fill out the EOP Application on CSU Mentor.  Your EOP file will be complete once we have received the completed Applicant Information Form and two Recommendation Forms.

  • Fall Applicants: the CSU application must be submitted between October 1  and November 30.
  • Spring Applicants: the CSU application must be submitted during the month of August.

What happens next?

Fall 2008 deadline for EOP Application: CLOSED

Your file will be complete once all required documents for the University and EOP are received. We review student files as quickly as possible. It is important for you to know that we have limited space available for EOP admits, so we cannot admit every student. Once we have filled all our available spots, we must stop admitting, even if we still have qualified students to review. Therefore, it is critical that you complete your file EARLY.

We will keep you informed of your application status by mail. It is extremely important that you inform us immediately of any change in address. However, if you do not hear from us or the university within two months of your applying, it is your responsibility to follow up on your own application. We very strongly suggest you periodically call EOP Admissions at (562) 985-4288 to check on the status of your file.

How are EOP participants selected?

Once your file is complete, it will be reviewed by a committee made up of EOP staff. The committee members review each file individually. Decisions are based on academic performance and personal information provided on the EOP forms. It is important that you provide the kind of information that helps the committee understand why you need EOP.
