Educational Opportunity Program

Mission

The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at California State University, Long Beach is committed to providing access to historically low-income, and first generation college students. In a holistic environment, the program advocates for students' success and graduation by promoting academic excellence and personal development through comprehensive support services and retention programs.

 

EOP provides the following services:

  • Assistance with the admissions and financial aid application process
  • Full-service academic and personal support program
  • EOP 100 Orientation course for first time freshmen
  • Free tutorial services
  • Laptop Loan Program
  • Peer Mentoring Program
  • Summer Bridge Program
  • EOP 2-Night Program
  • Foster Youth Network
  • EOP Student Organization (ESO)
  • Career Guidance
