Eligibility Requirements for CAMP
Students may be eligible to participate in CAMP by meeting one of the following three criteria:
- If they or any member in their
*immediate
family have spent a minimum of 75 days during the past 2 years in migrant/seasonal farm work, agricultural activity, "OR" are currently in or were in the Migrant Education Program. Students must provide a copy of their "Certificate of Eligibility (COE)" if they are/were in the Migrant Education Program.
- If they or any member in their
*immediate
family ever participated in or were eligible for the Migrant Education Program "OR" ever performed agricultural activity or farm work. Call the CAMP office at (562) 985-2002 for clarification.
- If they were ever involved in programs under the Workforce Investment Act for migrant and seasonal farmworkers.
*Immediate Family includes, Parents, Guardians, Grandparents, Uncles, Aunts, etc. but they must have claimed you as a dependent on their taxes or must currently reside/or previously resided in the same household as you.
Note: The work could have been done recently or if you were in the Migrant Education Program (MEP) in grades K-12.
Additional Requirements:
Students must meet the minimum qualifications for attendance at CSULB or may qualify for alternative admissions consideration through the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP).
Students must be full-time, first-year freshmen, with U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency.
