Diana: Legacy of a Princess

First Fridays Long Beach

  • Info: Every first Friday night of the month, participating Bixby Knolls businesses will unite to promote local artists and musicians through extended operating hours. In doing so we hope to encourage a dialogue between businesses, artists and the community. 2nd Saturday Art Walk

  • Time(s): Second Saturday of every month; 4:00pm-10:00pm
  • Location: Downtown Long Beach East Village Arts District
  • Cost: Free
  • Info: The Art Walk takes place around the streets of Ocean Blvd, Linden Ave, 1st Street, Broadway and Elm. Local art galleries and retail businesses such as gift shops, boutiques, restaurants and coffee shops stay open until late evening. Linden Avenue is closed to the traffic and transformed into a street art fair by local artists. Two stages are dedicated to street performances and live music. Anyone is welcome. Parking is available in nearby structures and parking lots for about $4.00/day or free by chance on nearby streets. www.artwalklb.com

Long Beach Sea Festival

  • Location: Various locations along the Long Beach coast
  • Info: The Long Beach Sea Festival showcases events from June to September on the coast of Long Beach. Highlighting the summer schedule is the annual Sand Castle Competition at Granada Beach, Sprint National Powerboat Racing at Marine Stadium, the Kids Fishing Rodeo on the Belmont Pier and weekly Moonlight Movies on the Beach at Granada Beach. 25th Annual AIDS Walk and Beach Life Challenge Event

  • Info: For 25 years, our supporters have been “showing the love” by joining the Long Beach AIDS Walk event, to raise much-needed funds for client services and HIV prevention education for the servicing agencies from Manhattan Beach to Long Beach. This year as we celebrate the 25th Silver Anniversary of AIDS Walk and all the new events, we encourage you to dig through your closets and wear the t-shirts from 24 years of the Walk. CleanLB Monthly Beach Cleanup

  • Location: Alamitos Beach (1 Junipero Ave)
  • Cost: Free
  • Info: Due to the high volume of visitors each weekend this is one of Long Beach's most affected shorelines. Every helping hand is much needed to clean up what doesn't belong in this environment: The best way to help us is by volunteering at the next beach cleanup. Your hard work will be rewarded with cool drinks, a free lunch at THE PIKE Bar & Grill or Kafe Neo, and the chance to win amazing prices! Supplies are on us and refreshments are provided by Whole Foods Market Long Beach! However, in order not to add more trash to the environment, we encourage you to bring you own reusable water bottles, gardening gloves, and recycle old bags. Free parking! Student credit! We are proud to have a strong network of supporters in this neighborhood but we always appreciate donated refreshments or snacks for the beach cleanup.

Long Beach Downtown Walking Tours
