Recreational Needs Assessment: The USU conducted an online survey that asked students about their recreational needs. About 8,000 CSULB students, or 23% of the student body, participated. The demographic characteristics of the respondents matched CSULB's overall student population. Eighty percent of the students surveyed responded that they engage in some type of recreation off campus. Fifty-four percent were in support of building the proposed Student Recreation and Wellness Center (SRWC).
