The Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR) program is a comprehensive transition program required of all new undergraduate students prior to class registration. SOAR workshops are held throughout the summer and during winter intersession. After students have experienced the various SOAR activities designed to acclimate them both academically and socially to the CSULB campus, they are asked to complete an evaluation form. Feedback from this evaluative process is used by the Director of SOAR and his staff to plan upcoming SOAR sessions and improve student learning and development. The evaluation instruments appear in the description page of the SOAR Department Assessment;; highlights of results appear in the results section.
