Run for Student Government!
Several Student Government positions are still open for those who want to run. Deadline to apply for these positions is Tuesday, Feb. 28. Open positions include treasurer, senators for the colleges of the Arts, Engineering, Education,Health and Human Services and Liberal Arts; Student Media Board; and 49er Shops Board of Directors. Richard McKee Transparency Act (formerly known as SB8)
In compliance with the Richard McKee Transparency Act (Education Code Section 89913-89919), the Associated Students, Inc. of California State University, Long Beach is required to provide members of the public, upon request any information relating to the conduct of the student body’s business that is prepared, used or retained by the ASI, regardless of physical form or characteristics. The ASI and USU host hundreds of events each year that are open to students. From concerts and lectures to rallies and movies, students are guaranteed to find events that will pique their interest.
Associated Students, Inc. is a nonprofit membership association and auxiliary organization of the university. The mission of ASI is to improve the quality of campus life for students while enhancing their educational experience. Students automatically become members of the association when they pay their mandatory student fees at the time of registration.

Committed to the principle of student self-determination in the shared governance of the university, the associated students of csulb seeks to facilitate the achievement of students’ educational objectives and life goals through programs, services, and facilities that advocate student needs and interests, compel student representation in campus decision making and provide students with resources that they identify as necessary for their intellectual, social and physical development.
