GOAL ACHIEVEMENT IS ACCOMPLISHED BY:
1. Opening the affairs of the university’s athletics program to the campus community and the public.
2. Setting standards (operating principles) for all Division 1 athletics programs in the following areas:
A. Governance and commitment to rules compliance
B. Academic integrity
C. Fiscal integrity
D. Equity, welfare and sportsmanship
3. Placing tough sanctions on institutions that fail to conduct a comprehensive self-study or to correct problems.
