ITRP Index Page

Welcome to the Infrastructure Terminal Resources Project pages. These pages will link to information on the project.

Project Overview

The Infrastructure Terminal Resources Project, commonly known as "ITRP", was a CSU system wide project (now completed) to upgrade all campuses with the latest telephone and network systems including the latest industry standard cabling, both copper and fiber optic. All campuses have by this time built new, or refurbished dedicated Telecommunications rooms.

Network Overview

Equipment associated with ITRP Phase I & II now comprises 200+ network switches serving over 20,000 wired data connections. Dual redundancy combined with UPS and generator power (where available) means nearly 100% uptime for the main campus WAN. Wireless services, slated to cover the entire campus and all buildings, is 90% complete and will be finished when fuds are available. Wireless now counts for nearly 20,000 connections at a time and is outpacing wired connectivity.
